Is CXL a game worth buying?
I've been waiting for my rebate for some time now and I expect it to come next week. When it does, I'll have the money to get CXL. I'm basically wondering whether the game is any good. What is your rating on it?

Yea, it is worth buying, but I would get CXL2011. 2009 doesn't make much fun

One word.
Yes!
It's graphically demanding, yet is a fun game.

Re: Is CXL a game worth buying?
Thanks guys.
I've already got a GTS 250 card to work with in my computer. (I bought it for the game recently). I'm just wondering -- will I be able to play the game on high at 1600x900 with the card? (Sorry, I'm still learning about graphics cards. I know that the GTS 250 is a relatively midrange card. )

Re: Is CXL a game worth buying?
I'm not so sure.. I have a rather powerful laptop yet can only play the game at Low settings.
You will need a GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB or more powerful for lowest on 2011.
For CitiesXL (the 2009 version), you'll need a GeForce 8800 GTS for lowest quality graphics.
The 250 is apparently better than the 8800, so you should at least be able to get Low to Medium.

I have a radeon 4250 and I can play on high (it does lag a small bit though)

Re: Is CXL a game worth buying?
Well, I found after I had bought the card that I got a downclocked version of the GTS 250. I'm quite upset with EVGA for releasing two GTS 250s under the exact same name, and even in the same box. The specs are slightly higher than the 8800GT's, though.
I generally don't mind playing games at 15 FPS (and I've done quite a bit of it since, before getting this card, I had Nvidia's 6150e integrated chip.)
Thanks!

Ah, right.
I don't mind playing the game with low graphics. I find it fine.. as long as it isn't that slow, it's playable.

I've just realised that even with the recommended graphics being Low, you can still play on the highest without any lag. I think that playing with highest graphics really improves the game.
