Crazy about Guitar?
This is something that I wrote at SImmania a while back. It's a test to see how good you are at guitar.
Do you think you are "good" at guitar?
A: How much time do you spend practicing a day?
0: I don't play at all!
1: less than thirty minutes
2: less than an hour
3: less than two hours
4: less than four hours
5: four hours or more
B:
0: I can't play a thing!
1: I can play church songs.
3: I can play Rush, Metallica, AC,DC, and similar band's music.
4: I can play almost any lead solo that you give me. (Whether that be the solos in Comfortably Numb (PInk Floyd) or The Cult of Personality (Living Colour))
5: I can write good heavy metal music.
6: I can write a hit song in less than 30 minutes. (Some people actually can. )
C:
1: I can't play a chord to save my life.
2: I can play some chords, but not the advance ones, and definitely not the B. ("lol!: Every good guitarist knows that one. )
3: Toss me a chord, I can play it.
4: Give me a couple of hours and I can play a new song.
5: I can hear a song and play it in 15 minutes. (You are allowed to play along with the CD) AS far as song choices, roughly half of the songs you listen to you could do this with.
D: Tunings
1: I can play in one tuning.
2: I can do some stuff in another tuning, but I am only good in one tuning.
3: I can play well in two tunings.
4: I can play in three or more tunings.
5: I can play in four or more tunings.
6: Toss me a tuning, give me half an hour, and I can make the most of it. (As a side note, if you rank here, you are seriously good as a player. That's why I gave this six points)
E:
1: What's ear training? What's a minor chord?
2: I can recognize the difference between minor and major chords.
3: I can recognize chords (minor, major, sevenths, seconds, fifths, etc...), but not their root notes (A, B, C#, G, etc...)
4: I can read sheet music.
5: I have perfect pitch. (As a side note, let me say that I rank at three. )
F: How many strings does a guitar have?
-1 (subtract a point): Heck I don't know!
0(no penalty): standard: 6.
Add up your scores.
< 5 = You can't play.
5-9 = You're learning, but you suck!
10-14 = you are OK, going on becoming good.
15-22 = "good".
23+ = guitar hero.
OK, I am not that good at the guitar, but considering I am crazy about it, I thought I would try this. I actually scored 19. (I didn't write the test to help me score well. This is an honest test and that's actually what I scored. )

I scored 14
I used to play the guitar, about 4 years ago, but I've stopped since.

Re: Crazy about Guitar?
Well, the quiz is aimed at those who play guitar. Most of the quizzes I've taken I've gotten low grades on because all of the questions are asking me about the Fender Stratocaster and the Les Paul. I know these are popular guitars, but beyond that, I don't know much about them. I get a low grade because the only questions in them are asking about what I know about guitar. I tried to make this one so that it was a matter of how well you play, not just how much you know.
